This is a hand knotted runner implementing a Suzani design.
Ecru background with a design picked out in burnt orange, pale blue, soft pink and a surprising hit of mulberry which grounds all the pastels. Traditionally an embroidered textile they were given as part of a dowry and contain many motifs pertaining to love, luck and happiness. I mean, who doesn't want that in their floor art!
