TRADITIONAL X CONTEMPORARY - HANDMADE RUGS

This is an exquisite and very unusual piece created and handknotted in Mazār-e Sharīf by the most skilled weavers and artisans. The central field is a soft neutral in biscuit and the border is a beautiful shade of pastel yellow. The erased design is picked out in verdant greens and earthy tones of russet. Natural dyes derived from flowers, berries, walnut husks, pomegranate rind, madder root and indigo are used to create these extraordinary colour palettes. The wool is an exceptional quality and sourced locally from sheep which graze at high altitude making it hard wearing and full of natural oils. Each piece is completely unique and individually made. 

Handmade in a beautiful colour palette of biscuit, lemon and viridis. Finely knotted.

We only make hand knotted rugs: no shortcuts and no hand tufting. Quality and good design is incredibly important in creating beautiful yet sustainable products.
