This is a handwoven kilim runner from Afghanistan. Each one of our natural chalk kilims are handmade with organic raw materials, only hand spun wool and natural dyes. This creates a beautiful yet sustainable product with no two kilims ever being the same.
Woven exclusively for Emma Mellor; a contemporary twist on the classic kilim in a very functional size that could be used in a number spaces around the home.
What is a Kilim? The word Kilim refers to a "pileless" textile and reversible rug that is flat and thin usually made in Afghanistan, Turkey, Kurdistan, the Caucasus and Iran.
