A fantastic antique Khamseh rug. Khamseh rugs are woven by the tribes in the Khamseh confederacy inhabiting the Fars province in the souhtwestern part of Iran. 

Made on a non static loom in the Yurt this piece is a great example of Iranian hand knotting.
