Fascinating Gabbeh rug featuring images of nomadic villagers - usually the person who has made the rug of family members. Made in the colour to represent or bring fertility. An extremely rare and hard to find rug.

Handmade by the Balouch nomads living between the borders of Iran, Pakistan and Afghanistan, these tribes can also be found on a smaller scale in Bahrain and the Punjab province of India. About 70% live in Pakistan and are divided into two groups; the Sulaimani and the Makrani.

This is a fantastic example of a Gabbeh rug. Made with natural dyes and high quality local sourced wool. Exceptional quality, beautiful colours and design.
