A rare and hard to find rug. Handmade by the nomads living between the borders of Iran, Pakistan and Afghanistan, these tribes can also be found on a smaller scale in Bahrain and the Punjab province of India. About 70% live in Pakistan and are divided into two groups; the Sulaimani and the Makrani.

This is a fantastic example of a nomadic rug. Made with natural dyes and high quality locally sourced wool.

At Emma Mellor we only sell hand knotted rugs: no shortcuts and no hand tufting. Quality and good design is incredibly important in creating beautiful yet sustainable products that will last for years to come.

Not all our rugs are listed online so if this is not the correct size for you please contact us and we will try and find your ideal rug.
