This rug is hand knotted in Mazār-e Sharīf Afghanistan by skilled Afghan weavers. Hand spun wool is used with natural dyes derived from flowers and berries, as well as walnut husks and pomegranate rind, madder root and indigo then the rug is lovingly washed and finished. The end result is a very special rug with real depth and movement of colour. Each piece is completely unique and individually made. Handmade in a classic Mamluk design in a functional size that can be used in a number of places around the home.

We only make hand knotted rugs: no shortcuts and no hand tufting. Quality and good design is incredibly important in creating beautiful yet sustainable products
